Vishwambhara Mega Blast glimpse out: Chiranjeevi once again dons larger-than-life role as protector of magical realm

Ahead of Telugu actor Chiranjeevi’s birthday on Friday, the celebrations have kickstarted with the release of a glimpse from the megastar’s upcoming film Vishwambhara. A glimpse from the film which is touted to be a socio-fantasy spectacle is now out.

Directed by Vassishta and produced on a grand scale, Vishwambhara is the upcoming film of Telugu actor Chiranjeevi. To join his birthday celebrations, the makers of the film released a glimpse which starts with a conversation between a child and an elderly man, reflecting on the turbulent events that happed in the world of Vishwambhara.

The old man recounts a great destruction, triggered by one man’s selfishness. That long-awaited saviour finally emerges and there are no prizes to guess that it is indeed Chiranjeevi himself. As he makes a heroic, powerful, and dramatic entrance, the glimpse tips off us that the star will be once again playing a larger-than-life role, this time in a mythic tale.

Vishwambhara release date, cast and crew

Written and directed by Vassishta, fans of Chiranjeevi have to wait longer to see Vishwambhara in big screens. While a release date is yet to be announced, the film will hit theatres sometime in summer of 2026, in time for school vacations. Earlier in a video, Chiranjeevi himself addressed the audience and explained the reason for the film's delay. He said that the VFX and graphic work in the film is more, especially in the second half, which is why the team is taking consciously more time to work to produce best results.

The film also stars Trisha Krishnan as the female lead, with Ashika Ranganath and Kunal Kapoor playing pivotal roles. Mouni Roy will appear in special song. Vishwambhara will release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. The technical crew includes production design by AS Prakash and cinematography handled by Chota K Naidu. Oscar winner MM Keeravani will be scoring the music.
