During its final stop at New York Comic Con, Marvel Television made a giant announcement: the series VisionQuest will be heading to Disney+ (JioHotstar [OTTplay Premium] in India). During the Marvel Animation and Marvel Television panel, Brad Winderbaum, Head of Marvel Television, confirmed the series, which is a direct continuation of the plots established in WandaVision and Agatha All Along. Veteran Marvel Cinematic Universe actor Paul Bettany, who will play the synthezoid hero Vision again, joined Winderbaum.
Wrapping up the trilogy that began with WandaVision in 2021 on Marvel Television, VisionQuest will stream next year. Famed Star Trek: Picard producer Terry Matalas will head up production for the new show. Fans may look forward to the show's debut in 2026.
Bettany set the scene for the titular character's current situation after the events of WandaVision (the creation of a new, white Vision) by providing background information. Bettany addressed Vision's emotional state by saying, "What's different about Vision right now is that Red Vision gave Vision all of his memories, including the memories from within the Hex." But getting in touch with them is proving to be quite a challenge for White Vision.

“So he has the memories, but he doesn’t have the emotions and the feelings, and I think that’s what the journey is,” he continued, expanding on the central conflict of the series. Throughout the show, White Vision goes on a quest to re-establish those memories and his identity—but this time, he uses lasers!
Several returning and new cast members were confirmed during the discussion, which also featured an early look at the show's footage. Orla Brady plays F.R.I.D.A.Y., Emily Hampshire plays E.D.I.T.H., and James D'Arcy, who played Edwin Jarvis in the "Agent Carter" series, comes back as J.A.R.V.I.S. James Spader's return as Ultron, the villain from 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, was also confirmed, much to the delight of fans. Cast members Jonathan Sayer (U) and Henry Lewis (D.U.M.-E.) were also announced.
About the end of the clip, there was a major reveal: in a CC-TV tape, Ruaridh Mollica is shown to be Thomas Shepherd. This might be a hint about the arrival of a famous Marvel comic book character.
When asked if VisionQuest will follow in the experimental genre-bending footsteps of WandaVision, Winderbaum gave a brief and guarded comment. "The less we say, the better," he playfully stated. But he did reassure Marvel Cinematic Universe fans who had been around for a while.
He concluded by saying, "But what I will say about Terry's vision for the show is that he knows the lore. So if you've been following the MCU all these years, you're going to be very, very, very rewarded."
