Vivek Agnihotri, often known to distance himself from Bollywood, has now called one of the most sought-after Bollywood actresses Alia Bhatt a part of his ‘family.’ The filmmaker further said that he cannot tolerate anything negative against her. The remark comes as his film The Vaccine War grabs headlines. The movie, starring Nana Patekar in the lead role, has released and is currently in theatres.

Fan of Alia Bhatt and Allu Arjun

While talking to Mid-Day, Vivek accepted that he’s a fan of Alia as well as Telugu star Allu Arjun. In fact, he hopes to work with the latter some day.

While Alia was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, Allu Arjun is gearing up for one of the biggest pan-Indian films of the year – Pushpa 2. The movie has become of the most awaited, after its previous installment was a success.

“Alia feels like family”

“I feel Alia is a part of my family, and I always admire her work,” Vivek Agnihotri added. He likes how she has matured as an actor on screen and believes she has creative intelligence. The filmmaker further cited that he cannot accept any negative feedback for her, when there is a discussion that he is a part of. He believes that Alia is a great example of how an actor should mature.

Not a fan of Bollywood otherwise

Vivek Agnihotri has publicly shown how much he detests Bollywood. He has gone and spoken up against Shah Rukh Khan himself too. The filmmaker often slams star kids on social media too. He bounced back with one of the highest grossing films of 2022, The Kashmir Files. The movie was inspired from the real-life events of Kashmir exodus in early 1990s.
