Vivek Agnihotri predicts Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan will be an 'all time blockbuster'

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has praised Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming action thriller Jawan, calling it an 'all time blockbuster'. The director also spoke about his own film The Vaccine War, which is based on a true story of India's victory in a war.

In a Twitter interaction with his fans, Agnihotri was asked by a user to clash his film with Jawan, which is slated to release on September 7. The filmmaker replied, “We aren’t in Bollywood game and terms like ‘clash’ etc. are for stars and media. I can guarantee SRK’s Jawan will be an all-time blockbuster. But after seeing it please also see our small film about India’s greatest victory in a war you know nothing about.#TheVaccineWar”.

Agnihotri also said that his film is a small, content-driven film for the family audience and that it will inspire, educate and enlighten the viewers. He said that not every family wants to watch 'maar-dhaad' films and some like to show films to children that make them proud of India and its women scientists.

The Vaccine War will be based on the coronavirus vaccine created in India during the pandemic. In addition to English and Hindi, it will also be released in Bangla, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Gujarati, and Marathi. Pallavi Joshi will produce the movie.

On the other hand, talking about Jawan, Shah Rukh will play both a father and a son in the action movie, directed by Atlee. Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and Riddhi Dogra are among the other actors who appear in the movie. Sanjay Dutt and Thalapathy Vijay will also make significant cameo appearances. Jawan, a movie made by Red Chillies Entertainment, a company owned by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, will open in theatres on September 7.
