Vivek Agnihotri shares photo with Kartik Aaryan, highlights similarities with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor

The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri recently took to social media to share a photo with Kartik Aaryan, while also highlighting the duo’s similarities. Both Vivek and Kartik have experienced a fruitful year thus far, with The Kashmir Files and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, respectively, being box office successes. But that’s not all, revealed the director.

Vivek captioned the picture with Kartik, “Two small town, middle-class, outsiders from Gwalior who made it on their own terms. If you are a young Indian, be inspired by a down-to-earth, rooted and exceptionally talented @kartikaaryan.”

Social media users quickly commented on how they wished to see the director-actor combination in a collaboration soon. "Need this duo for the next film," one person posted, while another commented, "Next picture main cast karlo Kartik ko (Cast Kartik in your next picture)”. Another user said, “Two blockbuster superstars in one frame.” Several users also sent heart emojis on the post.

The Kashmir Files’ record-breaking box office performance was a surprise to the industry. It went up against Bachchhan Pandaay that had Akshay Kumar in the lead and came out a clear winner. Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, Prakash Belwadi and Chinmay Mandlekar had significant parts in the film, which released in March.

Kartik's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was another box office winner this year, which has not been kind to Bollywood films. Director Aneez Baazmee’s film also had Tabu, Kiara Advani, Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra.

On the work front, Kartik is now preparing for the release of Shehzaada, the Hindi remake of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's smash hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The film, which also features Kriti Sanon, is helmed by Rohit Dhawan. Kartik is also part of Satyaprem Ki Katha, which has Kiara as the female protagonist.
