Years after Vivek Agnihotri released The Kashmir Files, he was gearing up for The Delhi Files. However, the storyline raised a major speculation, one that the filmmaker himself has now considered. He wonders whether The Delhi Files would actually be an apt title for his next film, since the tale delves into Bengal more, too. Agnihotri is now here to clear the very confusion soon enough.

Although Vivek Agnihotri planned to tell his next story with the title The Delhi Files, he might have found another interesting and apt title. The filmmaker has hinted that his next could be called The Bengal Files. Currently, it is called The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter.

The story of The Delhi Files

The Delhi Files (or what it was originally planned as) would speak of the Bengal tragedy. While more details of the movie are under the wraps right now, the teaser unveiled a few months back did hint at a horrific incident. It featured Mithun Chakraborty (Zakhmi Sipahi) walking through an empty corridor. He appears to be a warrior who has seen some things, for in the very teaser, the actor plays an Indian who recites the Preamble of the Indian Constitution with a burnt tongue.

Vivek Agnihotri's trilogy

Vivek Agnihotri set off to make a trilogy, which commenced with The Tashkent Files. The movie was the story of the mysterious death of India's second Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri. There is conspiracy about it being an assassination, and a probe is launched.

The Tashkent Files was followed by The Kashmir Files. The movie told the tale of Kashmir exodus. The film, which was one of the earlier releases in the post-COVID era, ended up being successful at the Box Office. It is when Agnihotri reaffirmed that The Delhi Files is in the making. Starring Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, and Darshan Kumaar, The Delhi Files/The Bengal Files is expected to be out by the year end.
