After establishing himself as an actor par excellence in Malayalam, Mohanlal ventured into Hindi cinema with RGV’s Company. Recounting Mohanlal’s performance in Company, Vivek Oberoi said that the Malayalam star was ‘very normal’ before the shot and got into his zone when action was called.

“He picks up a glass paperweight. He starts playing with that, telling his lines... And I am just seeing this genius performance,” recounted Oberoi who played Chandru in Company.

“Now, it is my counter dialogue... and I am just looking at him like a fanboy. Ram Gopal Varma actually reprimanded me and said what happened to you – ‘You have to say your dialogue now’. And I replied, sorry sir. I was just enjoying the moment, the performance right in front of me," Vivek Oberoi recounted.
