Good news for K-drama fans! Your favorite Lee Jong-suk's hit show, W: Two Worlds Apart, is coming to Lionsgate Play this March. The best part? You will be able to watch the drama in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, and the original Korean. Although it's been available on other platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Rakuten Viki, since its 2016 release, this is a great chance to revisit the drama and enjoy the quirky, fantasy themes and mind-bending storyline of the K-drama.
Starring Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo in the lead, W: Two Worlds Apart, is releasing on Lionsgate Play on March 14, 2025. You will also be able to watch the K-drama through OTTplay Premium. The K-drama is lauded for its unique theme of a real-world protagonist entering a webtoon, creating a captivating blend of mystery, thriller, and romance that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
The drama introduces a young woman, Oh Yeon-joo (Han Hyo-joo), whose life takes an unexpected turn when she discovers her father's unpublished webtoon, titled W, is a tangible reality and can be entered into its thrilling world physically.
However, soon Yeon-joo rescues the webtoon’s protagonist, Kang Chul (Lee Jong-suk), from a deadly fate and inadvertently pulls him into her own real human world. This sparks a confusion in two different worlds, as well as a passionate romance between Yeon-joo and Kang Chul.
Back in 2016, lead actor Lee Jong-suk, who later featured in several other superhit K-dramas, talked highly about his co-star, Han Hyo-joo. In an interview with Allkpop, the actor admitted that W: Two Worlds Apart was one of his most challenging projects.
Lee Jong-suk gave a big shout out to co-star Han Hyo-joo and shared that working with her helped him evolve and he's extremely grateful that even when the camera was not recording her facial expressions, she did her best to react to his actions. Her acting skills mesmerized him in every scene.
