Waltair Veerayya: The Chiranjeevi starrer needs this much to be in a safe zone

Megastar Chiranjeevi is ready with his new film Waltair Veerayya which is all set to release on the 13th of this month. Bobby directed this film which has Shruthi Haasan as the heroine. There is a terrific buzz for the film as it brings back Chiranjeevi in a mass avatar after a very long time. Mythri Movie Makers has produced this film on a mammoth scale and they are going all out with the promotions. The pre-release event will be held on the 8th of this month.

As the film had big names associated, the pre-release business was also done for a huge amount. Well, this has put direct pressure on megastar Chiranjeevi to deliver as the film needs to take off on a sensational note at the box office. As per our sources, Waltair Veerayya needs to make at least 90 crores at the ticketing window to be in a safe zone. Once the film crosses this 94 crore mark, the makers will start seeing actual profits.

The film's budget is over 100 crores and a chunk of the money has gone on the remunerations of Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja, who plays a key role in this mass drama. The production house has already made handsome money out of the non-theatrical rights but they have a big task cut out with the theatrical revenue which is not that easy these days.

Waltair Veerayya has one more tension at the box office as Balakrishna's biggie Veera Simha Reddy is also releasing one day apart. So, positive word of mouth and a solid first weekend is a must for this film. Also, megastar Chiranjeevi is not that dominant at the box office these days. His last film, Godfather, which also started with good word of mouth struggled to make money in the second week. Only time will tell how Waltair Veerayya will fare at the box office.
