War 2 advance booking day 1: Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR's Telugu version picks up pace by evening, sells out double of Tamil shows

The final day 1 advance booking update from Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR's War 2 is here, and the tables turned within a day. While the early numbers for War 2 Telugu version were the lowest in the earlier half of day 1, the Telugu version now has double the bookings more than the Tamil version, too.

War 2 has minted Rs. 2.14 crore from the advance booking on day 1 itself, according to Sacnilk. It is thus off to a fairly good start and might just pick up over the next few days till the release day.

War 2 Telugu version picks up, now double of the Tamil version

War 2's Telugu version picked up in the latter half of day 1. There were Rs. 12.32 lakh advance bookings (Rs. 12,32,747 to be exact) from the Telugu version, while the Tamil version saw Rs. 5.50 lakh in bookings (Rs. 5,50,303.69 lakh) at the end of the advance booking day 1. In the first half of the day, the Telugu version was only able to mint Rs. 78,580. In comparison, the Tamil version earned Rs. 13,4225.14 before even day 1 came to an end.

War 2 Hindi version mints the highest

War 2's Hindi version remains the highest contributor to the film. The Hindi belt contributed to over Rs. 1.70 crore of the earnings (Rs. 1,77,32,693), and this is barring the Imax, 4DX, ICE and Dolby Cine earnings (they all contributed to Rs. 2.14 crore of advance booking on day 1). If taking the blocked seats into consideration, the movie has minted Rs. 5.8 crore in advance booking on day 1 itself.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is clashing at the Box Office with Rajinikanth’s Coolie. While Coolie is leading for now, it would be interesting to see if War 2 catches up and becomes one of the highest grossing pan-Indian films of the year.
