War 2: After delay due to injury, Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR dance showdown set to roll in late June

Finally, in the last week of June, the much-anticipated dance battle between Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR from War 2 will begin filming. The spy thriller's teaser gave viewers a tantalising look at the showdown between Jr NTR's adversary and Hrithik's R&AW agent Kabir Dhaliwal, but many were curious about the dance number that had been teased.
Shoot postponed due to Hrithik Roshan's injury
Earlier plans called for filming the track in the first week of March, according to insiders. Hrithik (Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai and Yaadein) hurt his leg during filming; thus, they had to reschedule the session. As per Mid Day, reports indicate that director Ayan Mukerji is apparently going forward with the 10-day song shoot at Yash Raj Studio in Andheri now that the actor is fully recovered.
The makers were prepared to film the music video for this song in March after two months of preparation. It was cancelled due to Hrithik's leg injury, unfortunately. Once he has fully healed from his injuries, the actors will start preparing in the first week of June. The insider revealed that Ayan has scheduled a 10-day shoot for the end of June, following which the production of the spy thriller would be completed.
Massive set construction underway
The studio is currently constructing an enormous set for this particular sequence. According to the insider, the dance sequence will be a visual extravaganza, in keeping with the size of the YRF Spy Universe, thanks to the commitment of both producer Aditya Chopra and Mukerji.
The insider continued by saying that the dance set-up is magnificent. The team has received a circular informing them not to bring phones during the shoot. To make sure no photos end up online, a 60-member security detail has been hired.
Independence Day weekend release
With an August 14 release date, War 2—starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, (Samba and Narasimhudu) and Kiara Advani—is sure to be one of the most talked-about Bollywood films of 2025. The film will be ready for its Independence Day weekend release by June, when filming will wrap.
