While the world of franchises in India is moving rapidly forward, one that is shaping up pretty well and gaining all the attention from the audience is the YRF Spy Universe that is being backed by Yash Raj Films. As the filmmakers and actors continue to shape the multiple films under the banner, one movie that has the most attention is War 2. The sequel to the hit 2019 movie is all set to bring back Hrithik Roshan to the big screen in his action avatar alongside Jr NTR, but this time without Tiger Shroff. The movie also stars Kiara Advani. But the latest report is not a happy one as it says that Hrithik has suffered a leg injury during rehearsals for a very important dance number and will not be able to shoot for it until May 2025. Hrithik Roshan Suffers Leg Injury During War 2 Prep?
In case you remember, it was a few months ago when it was reported that War 2 is all set to feature a dance song that will have Jr NTR facing off against Hrithik Roshan. It was, of course, exciting news as both are skilled dancers, with one even having an Oscar win for his song "Naatu Naatu" from RRR. But now, as per the latest update coming in, Hrithik Roshan has suffered a leg injury while rehearsing for the same song, and the shoot for the same has been pushed to May now.
As per Bollywood Hungama, a source said, “Hrithik really pushed himself during the rehearsals of this energetic song with NTR Jr. for War 2. He got a niggle in his leg during rehearsals that was quite uncomfortable, and when the doctors inspected his injury, they advised him not to risk it further and to rest his leg before he shoots this massive song!” Meanwhile, watch these action packed Hrithik Roshan movies, some of which are available on OTTplay.
The source added, “The mega War 2 dance-off song featuring Hrithik and NTR Jr. will now be shot in May! All the principal actors have finished their respective shoots, and the film is already in post-production. This minor bump isn’t derailing any promotional/marketing plans for the film. War 2 will release theatrically worldwide on August 14, 2025!”
War 2 is directed by Ayan Mukerji and is a part of Aditya Chopra’s blockbuster YRF Spy Universe franchise. The universe so far includes War, the Tiger trilogy, and Pathaan, and is about to get War 2, Pathaan 2, Pathaan vs Tiger, and Alpha.
