War 2: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR to head to Dubai to shoot for Ayan Mukerji’s next

We recently learned that War 2 test shoot was taking place in Spain. The schedule has now wrapped up and Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR will now be shooting for the film on a different location. War 2 will now be shot in Dubai, where Hrithik and Taarak will join the team. This time, Kiara Advani might not be a part of the scenes in Dubai.

The Spain schedule

We hear that Ayan Mukerji has shot heavy car chase sequence scenes between Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani in Spain. The close-up shots, however, are pending and could happen at a later date. Various photos and videos from the sets have been released but unfortunately, none of them features any of the actors or even the director. The wrap happened in Salamanca in Spain.

The Dubai schedule

War 2 is likely to be shot in Dubai for a month straight. Hrithik and Taarak will join the crew within a few days. The shoot will most probably wrap up mid-November.

About War 2

War 2 is a part of the YRF Spy Universe. The sequel to the 2019 release replaces Tiger Shroff with Jr. NTR. Ayan also steps in as the director instead of Siddharth Anand. Siddharth is caught up with Fighter, featuring Hrithik and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. While Tiger and Siddharth are replaced, War 2 will also bring more perspective into Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan antagonist Jim, through his life story. Jim was played by John Abraham.

War 2 will release in theatres after Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3. The film, also a franchise in the universe, is the third installment after Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger and Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger Zinda Hai. Tiger 3 introduces both Maneesh Sharma and Emraan Hashmi to the universe. The Maneesh Sharma directorial introduces Emraan as the lead antagonist in the film. Tiger 3 is a Diwali release and War 2 is likely to release soon after, in early to mid-2024.
