War 2 on OTT: Here's how much Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR's film earned at box office

War 2 hit theaters on August 14, clashing at the box office with Rajinikanth's Coolie. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the action thriller is the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe and a sequel to the 2019 film War. Although War 2 was one of the most-awaited films, it received mixed responses from fans and critics. Now, War 2 is all set to land on Netflix on October 9. War 2 box office collection overview

As per Sacnilk, War 2 opened with an average collection. On the first day, it collected Rs. 52 Crore in total, [Hindi: 29 Cr; Tamil: 0.25 Cr; Telugu: 22.75 Cr]. After one week, War 2 grossed Rs. 204.25 crore.

In the second week, War 2 collection hugely dropped as it minted only Rs. 27 crore total. In the third week, there was no trace of War 2 as it collected Rs. 5 crore. At the end, War 2 has collected Rs. 236.55 crore in total in the domestic box office, while the worldwide collection is Rs. 364.35 crore.

War 2 features Hrithik Roshan returning as Kabir Dhaliwal, who goes undercover within a global syndicate against Jr NTR's Special Operations Officer Vikram Chelapathi. The storyline sees Kabir as a dangerous rogue agent whom Vikram seeks to stop, while shifting alliances and unexpected betrayals complicate their conflict. Kiara Advani plays Kavya Luthra, and Anil Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana also have significant roles.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is the sixth film in the YRF Spy Universe.

Meanwhile, the OTTplay review for War 2 stated that the film loads its missile with style, swagger, and star power but forgets to aim before firing. "What should have been a high-octane clash of titans between Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, turns into a game of toy soldiers—lots of noise, little impact," it further read.
