It is about the film industry back then and how stars were made. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Vikramaditya got candid about how his journey with Jubilee began.

The director said that the idea to make a quality, content-driven series came around the time Indian audiences got to watch American shows like Breaking Bad and House of Cards.

"That initial wave of great shows made us think, ‘What if we made something similar about our film industry?’ Then, we wrote a pilot and saw that it actually worked," Vikramaditya told HT.

Speaking about the projects that are closest to his heart, the Sacred Games and Lootera filmmaker said that his debut film as director, Udaan, is most special to him.

He added that while working on Jubilee was an amazing experience, it has been his most challenging project to date.

Jubilee, starring Aparshakti Khurana, Aditi Rao Hydari, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Nandish Singh Sandhu in lead roles, is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
