Was Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Instagram page hacked? Actor's manager issues clarification

Movie fans have seen Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s growth from a fresh face in Ye Maaya Chesave to a star in multiple South industries. The actor could now very well be on her way to make her name in Bollywood as well, after receiving a lot of popularity following her cameo in Pushpa: The Rise starring Allu Arjun. 

The actor also enjoys a large social media following, where she also engages with her fans with photos from her personal and professional life. Many among her 24 million followers on Instagram noticed something strange yesterday, as an unusual post was shared on her handle, leading to speculations of her account being hacked.

Samantha’s digital manager Seshanka Binesh was quick to react. Taking to the stories feature on Instagram, she wrote, “Due to a technical glitch, a post on Instagram got erroneously cross-posted on Samantha’s account. We are working on the case and shall escalate the same with team Instagram. Apologies for any confusion caused on the same.” 

While the rogue post was taken down from Samantha’s Instagram handle, some fans were able to take screen grabs of the same and post it on Twitter. 

As Samantha’s popularity grows every day, she was recently named the most popular female star in the country by Ormax, a media consulting firm. Other big names such as Alia Bhatt and Nayanthara followed Samantha. 

Samantha, who was last seen in Vignesh Sivan’s Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara, is currently working on Kushi co-starring Vijay Deverakonda. The actor also has Shaakuntalam, a mythological drama and Yashoda, a science fiction thriller in the works.
