Anushka Sharma is back on the field as she is prepping for her upcoming film, Chakda Xpress. The actor, who will be seen on screen after nearly four years, is playing the role of Jhulan Goswami in the biopic. For the same, the actor has been leaving no stone unturned in getting into the skin of her character. On Friday, Sharma took to her social media pages and shared a new video from her training session.

The actor has been practising both her batting and bowling skills for her role as Goswami. The video has the music Neon Beat by DJ Alvin in the backdrop. While sharing the video, Sharma captioned it as "Get-Sweat-Go! #ChakdaXpress #prep getting hard and intense as we are counting days @netflix_in @jhulangoswami @officialcsfilms @prositroy @kans26."

The actor has a month-long engagement in the United Kingdom this summer, for which she has already begun to prepare. Sharma is going all out to make this the biggest film about a female sports legend in India, according to a source who spoke to Mid-Day.

With Chakda Xpress, the actor hopes to change the discourse about how sports films starring women should be made in India. According to the source, when one has a goal this big, there can't be any half-measures.

Anushka has previously stated in a statement that Chakda Xpress is a unique film since it is ultimately a story of immense sacrifice. The inaugural season of Chakda Xpress is based on the life of former Indian captain Goswami and will give viewers an insight into the world of women's cricket. It was incredibly tough for women to even consider taking up cricket when Goswami decided to become a cricketer and represent her country at the world level. This is a dramatic account of her life events as well as women's cricket.
