He rose to magnificent fame with the franchise. Recently, during an interview with Kelly Clarkson on Monday, he revealed a reason why he feels that he might be a disappointment for the Harry Potter fans.

No matter how many movies and TV series Daniele Radcliffe impresses us with, for some fans, he will always be their comfort character Harry Potter. Radcliffe who started his Hollywood journey as a child actor is now surprisingly a father too, time flies, right?

Daniele Radcliffe reveals shocking interactions with fans

The 34-year-old actor had attended the Kelly Clarkson Show along with his two costars of Broadway, Merrily We Roll Along. While talking about parenting dilemmas and children’s innocence, the new parents and musical theater stars reflected on their experiences with their children. The musical Merrily We Roll Along is a revival of the 1981 musical by Stephen Sondheim.

Radcliffe revealed how awkward it becomes when fans are cheering Harry Potter and their expectations plummet after the realization of his age hits them. Explaining to talk show host Kelly Clarkson and his Broadway costars Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez about breaking the expectation bubble, he said, “I’m like, ‘I’m sorry.’ They’re like, ‘You’re old now, what happened?’” Radcliffe recalled the moments of interactions with fans and mocked that he disappoints kids on a regular basis.

“I do that to kids on, like, a regular basis,” he said. “When they’re like, ‘It’s Harry!’ I’m like, ‘I’m sorry.’ They’re like, ‘You’re old now, what happened?’,” he further added.

The Harry Potter star welcomed his first baby in April with girlfriend Erin Darke.
