On Monday, Disney+ Hotstar and Kajol announced their collaboration on her debut web series. The actor will make his debut in the medium of long-form storytelling with the upcoming Hotstar Special. She made her on-demand OTT debut in the Netflix film Tribhanga in 2021.

The 47-year-old actor added in a statement posted by the streamer that learning a new format is always difficult but that it's a wonderful thing since she loves to approach difficulties head-on. Being a big lover of digital series, Kajol has always found the idea fascinating. After watching cool shows like Aarya and Rudra, she realised there was no better platform than Disney+ Hotstar to begin her series journey.

The crew at Disney+ Hotstar & HSM Entertainment Network, led by Gaurav Banerjee, is thrilled to have Kajol on board and watch her captivate fans with her ethereal screen magic. Banerjee added that they are embarking on a brand-new adventure to offer a special tale of love, emotions, and family with the well-liked star.

The project's specifics, such as the premise and the creator's name, have not yet been disclosed by the streaming service. Kajol recently teased the start of production on her first television series in an interview with PTI. She stated that she is about to launch the OTT show, and it's a narrative of a woman's journey.

Earlier, while talking about the series, a source told Peeping Moon that one more time, Kajol will portray a new-age parent, but there's much more to this show than meets the eye. Crime, politics, and family are all included in this dramatic drama to keep viewers interested. It has been designed as a multi-season show and has a high-concept plot. Suparn Varma will be in charge of directing, so the series will grow and improve.
