Kung Fu Panda 4 is here! Today the makers have dropped the first official trailer of the fourth installment of the beloved animated series, Kung Fu Panda. The latest trailer brings back Jack Black to voice the central character. With several new characters and voice artists joining the adventure – It is enthralling to watch the cartoon Panda stealing our hearts in the latest action flick while fighting the new shape-shifting nemesis.

Universal Pictures on December 13 unveiled the first trailer for their upcoming animated film. Jack Black is returning to voice Panda Po while a new arch-nemesis as a shape-shifting chameleon is voiced by Viola Davis.

The franchise quickly rose to fame after its debut in 2008 as Dreamwork’s first animated Panda, raking in millions globally. The third installment was released in 2016, and after 8 years, it is set to unleash the Kung Fu Panda 4 on the big screens!

In the 2:26-minute trailer, we witness Panda Po taking instructions from recurring character master Shifu to embark on the next step in his journey but this time not as a Dragon Warrior, but rather as a spiritual leader. The fighting Panda is now advanced to the Spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace.

He also teams up with a wanted fox thief, Zhen (voiced by Awkwafina). On the spiritual journey, he has a chance encounter with Han, leader of the Den of Thieves, (voiced by Ke Huy Quan), and fights back to defeat his newest foe – a shape-shifting villain, seen in various forms during the trailer.

Cast

Directed by Mike Mitchell, Kung Fu 4 brings back the recurring voice artists including James Hong as Mr. Ping, Po’s adoptive father, Dustin Hoffman as Kung Fu master Shifu, Bryan Cranston as Li, Po’s birth father, and Ian McShane as Tai Lung, powerful nemesis and Shifu’s former student and adoptive son.

The movie is scheduled for a March 8 release next year.
