Marvel Studios’ new series trailer launched on Friday, gives a glimpse of the violent venture it is embarking on with Echo. The strong-headed female protagonist, Alaqua Cox will be reprising her Hawkeye role as Maya Lopez in Echo. Directed by Sydney Freeland, this gruesome, crime drama portrays an unlikely superheroine. 

About the trailer

The 1:54 minute trailer unfolds a criminal world and the female protagonist entangled in the grisly world. It starts with a childhood flashback, featuring a brutal kingpin manipulating the little girl, Maya. With bloody violent fights and several eye-grabbing scenes in the teaser, this action-packed drama is truly imparting a new direction to the production house.

“People on our show — they bleed. They die. They get killed and there are real world consequences,” said executive producer and director Freeland as per the Hollywood Reporter.

This superhero series revolves around a deaf and Native American character Maya Lopez, who previously was seen in Hawkeye

When and where to watch?

The TV series will be available to stream on two platforms simultaneously, Hulu and Disney+

All the five episodes will release altogether on January 10, 2024

Cast of Echo

The Hawkeye spinoff series will be revolving around the central character Maya Alaqua Cox and kingpin Vincent D’Onofrio, alongside other notable roles by Chaske Spencer, Graham Greene, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Zahn McClarnon, and Cody Lightning, The trailer also hints at the promising cameo from Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, AKA Daredevil.

The trailer is getting noticed for its unique plotline and crime-thriller spark. Many fans lauded Marvel’s venture in the comments section.

“This doesn’t look so bad. I got to admit marvel got me impressed with the trailer,” said one excited fan.

Some fans are overwhelmed with the news that all the episodes will be released on the same day, citing easier binge-watch for fans. “I’m actually really excited for this show now. Glad they’re releasing all the episodes at once and making it TV-MA,” wrote another fan.
