Be ready to toss a coin to the Witcher cause Netflix dropped the trailer of the much-awaited The Witcher season 2 on their YouTube channel today (July 10). The trailer of the upcoming series was first unveiled at The WitcherCon, the first-ever event based solely on The Witcher, hosted by Netflix and CD Projekt Red. Apart from this tantalizing look at season two of the series based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s books, the virtual event revealed several interesting details that are in store for audiences regarding The Witcher and other spinoff projects.

But first, have look at the adventure-packed trailer below:

In the aftermath of the first season, Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) has finally met up with Cirilla (Freya Allen) in this new trailer. As the duo make their way to Kaer Morhen, things obviously don't go according to plan. Kaer Morhan is the mountain fortress where Geralt underwent his training of becoming a Witcher and a similar fate awaits Ciri. Gruelling training scenes, sword brandishing heroes, old friends and new foes await the viewers.

The trailer teases us with a look at everyone’s favourite bard, a crooning Jaskier in his new maroon outfit and closes with a chilling shot of Anya Chalotra as Yennefer.

The new season promises to be worth it after a wait of two years since it first premiered. The eight-episode season will be released on December 17.
