A new trailer for Ajay Devgn's upcoming directorial Runway 34, in which he also stars, was released today.

The clip opens with a claustrophobic shot of a cockpit while Captain Tanya (Rakul Preet) can be heard panicking about the lack of fuel, visibility and time to save the plane she and Captain Vikrant Khanna (Ajay Devgn) are flying from crashing. Meanwhile, Vikrant can be heard saying that no matter what the external factors may be, in the end, it's the pilot who is at fault when things go for a toss.

"314 faisle liye the uss roz. Agar usmei se ek bhi faisla galat ho jata, toh hum yaha maujood nahi hote. (We took 314 decisions that day. If even one of them was wrong, we wouldn't have been present here today)," he says while the camera pans over the different passengers on that flight.

The clip also takes us through the inquiry led by Amitabh Bachchan's Narayan Vedant that followed after the aviation incident, where he hurls accusations Vikrant's way. Other key characters played by Aakanksha Singh, Boman Irani, and Carry Minati are also introduced.

According to the trailer description, Runway 34 will take the audience "on a turbulent journey with the lives of 150 passengers and crew hanging on a thread. A bombastic face-off ensues between the authorities and him."

Sandeep Kewlani has conceptualised the story and written the dialogues along with Aamil Keyan Khan.

The aviation drama, previously titled MayDay, is Devgn's third directorial after romantic drama U Me Aur Hum (2008) and actioner Shivaay (2016).
