Watch: Shah Rukh Khan drops a Sunday surprise for his sea of fans outside Mannat ahead of Pathaan's release

After a four-year absence, Shah Rukh Khan fans are thrilled to see their favourite star back on the big screen. Even if they still have a few days before they go to the movies to see him back in action, the superstar shocked his admirers on Sunday night by waving to them from the roof of his home, Mannat!

SRK posted the video on social media and also waved to the hundreds of fans who had gathered outside his house. The footage shows a red car becoming caught in the crowd of admirers outside SRK's Mumbai home.

When Shah Rukh posted the video to Instagram, he also included a clever comment about how the red car ended up in the middle. He noted: "Thank you for a lovely Sunday evening… sorry but I hope ki laal gaadi waalon ne apni kursi ki peti baandh li thhi. Book your tickets to #Pathaan and I will see you there next…"

Earlier, while talking about playing an action hero in Pathaan, SRK had said, "I came to the film industry 32 years ago to be an action hero, but I missed the boat because they made me a romantic hero instead. I've only wanted to be an action hero. I mean, I love DDLJ, and I love Rahul and Raj, and all these good, sweet boys, but I always thought I was an action hero, so for me, it's my dream come true."

On his character, the superstar went on to say, "Pathaan is an easy guy, doing a lot of tough things, and I think he's naughty; he's tough but doesn't wear it on his sleeve. He's trusting. He's honest, and I think he very single-mindedly thinks of India as his mother."

Speaking of Pathaan, the movie stars the biggest stars of the nation, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, and is a part of Aditya Chopra's ambitious spy world. Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana play important roles in the movie as well.

It is scheduled for release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on January 25, 2023.
