They say marriages are made in heaven, and in the case of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, this proverb stands true.

The lovely couple, who tied the knot on February 7 at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer (Rajasthan), chose Ranjha song from their movie Shershaah as Kiara walked down the isle and into the arms of her now-husband Sidharth Malhotra.

For the special moment in their lives, Kiara mock-pulled Sidharth towards her as he looked at his watch and hinted that she was late. As we all remember, this exact scene was a huge part of the love story that transpired in the movie Shershaah. Interestingly, it was on the same film set that the duo met and fell in love with each other.

Captioning the over-a-minute-lon Reel on Instagram with the date of their marriage, Kiara and Sidharth’s collaboration post reads as: “7.02.2023 🙏🏼❤️♾️”

The story behind the Reel, which has already garnered over a million likes within a an hours' time, has a different rendition of the popular love ballad Ranjha. According to the Instagram account The Wedding Filmer, presumably responsible for shooting the wedding, Kiara insisted on using this for her entry as it was ‘their song’ despite the sad lyrics.

The account shared the story behind choosing Ranjha song, and it is beyond sweet.

“Very few humans are so generous with their love that they are willing to share it with the world. She wanted to walk towards Sidharth on ‘Ranjha’, which is their song. “But it’s a sad song!” I argued. “But it’s our song!” She maintained! On February 7, after almost five hours after tying the knot, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani have finally shared their wedding photos on their social media pages. Fans of Sid and Kiara have been waiting with bated breath to see the newlyweds fresh from their fairytale wedding in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Both actors took to their Instagram pages and shared the sweetest photos from the ceremony, and they truly make for an adorable couple.

In the photos, Sidharth dons a royal look, wearing a golden sherwani and off-white pyjamas with a matching turban. Kiara looks stunning in a pink lehenga choli that she accessorised with emerald and diamond-studded jewelry. Well, don't miss the beautiful pear-shaped ring that Sidharth gifted his ladylove.
