The trailer of Varun Dhawan-Kiara Advani starrer JugJugg Jeeyo has finally been released. The upcoming family entertainer also stars Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in major roles with Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli in key roles. During the recent trailer launch event, Karan Johar shared his views on the ongoing language debate and competition between industries.

Talking about the ongoing debate, KJo mentioned that we can proudly say that we are a part of Indian cinema. "So, when RRR, Pushpa and KGF have performed so well recently, we can say that Indian cinema has done well. We are proud of all those films and we are proud of Indian cinema. These films have actually taken the position of Indian cinema up a notch. Prashanth Neel, SS Rajamouli and Sukumar, all of them have told us that our standards can be so huge."

Furthermore, talking about him mentioning JugJugg Jeeyo as a Hindi movie, the filmmaker said, "Specifying Hindi for his movie is a part of technicality. Recently Gangubai has done so well, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has had the biggest opening and we hope that JugJugg Jeeyo does as well as them."

"We want that each and every film from all languages to do well and so do our movie. Whenever we entertain with our projects, it's irrespective of the language. Recently, Punjabi as well as the Marathi industry have given some great hits a few weeks ago. So we don't want any language to be compared to each other. We just want to say that we are proud of Indian cinema and we want that Indian cinema to grow more and more on the entertainment global map," the ace filmmaker added.

Backed by Karan Johar, the Raj Mehta directed JugJugg Jiyo is all set to hit cinemas on June 24.
