Welcome 3 has been one of the most anticipated movies over the last few years. Earlier this year, on his birthday, Akshay Kumar gifted his fans the announcement of a threequel to his hit Welcome franchise, with the new title, Welcome To The Jungle. The film has a massive ensemble led by Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Sanjay Dutt, and Arshad Warsi. Now, Kumar has announced that the movie has gone on floors today with an interesting video.
The Welcome To The Jungle shoot began in Mumbai and on the set was the entire star-studded cast, including Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Sayaji Shinde, Mukesh Tiwari, Zakir Hussain, and Yashpal Sharma. Talented actresses Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, and the young and dynamic Vrihi Kodvara were also present.
Sharing the video on his official Instagram page, Akshay Kumar wrote, “Absolute madness of masti begins as we start the shoot of #WelcomeToTheJungle. Will need your wishes for this rollercoaster full of all things fun and crazy :) #Welcome3.” The video has him and Arshad shooting for a training scene in which Lara Dutta is seen being a tough trainer. We can even see Disha Patani behind them and even Krushna Abhishek.
Reports are that the film will have Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt play Majnu and Uday Bhai, who were earlier played by Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar. Recently, while talking to Hindustan Times, Arshad Warsi said, “The scale of Welcome 3—the cost, the climax—is unreal. It is an insanely larger-than-life theatrical film that I will be a part of. It has me, Akshay Kumar, Sanju (Sanjay Dutt), Paresh Rawal, and lots of other people."
Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome To The Jungle is produced by Feroz Nadiadwala and Jyoti Deshpande. The film is slated to release during Christmas 2024, on December 20.
