Welcome of the Jungle was set to release in theatres this year, but the film's release has been postponed. Despite that, the third installment of Welcome continues to be one of the most-awaited comic capers. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film boasts an ensemble star cast, which includes Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and others. Tusshar Kapoor, too, is an integral part of the movie. In a new interview, Tusshar spoke about his equation with a star cast.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Tusshar opened up about how members of the star cast bonded on Welcome to the Jungle's set. The actor revealed that he mostly hung out with Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Johnny Lever, Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta, and Raveena Tandon.
"These are the people I know and work with. There wasn’t really ‘one gang’, but everyone found their comfort zones. We were all together. Sometimes the whole group was together in the green room, playing board games or doing other things," he revealed. The actor added that he had a great experience working on the Akshay Kumar-starrer.
In the same interview, Tusshar admitted being overshadowed in multi-starrer films is a concern. Kapoor feels that fear gives an actor a good kind of 'nervous energy'. "Even if I have only a few scenes, I want to give it my best. I want people to say, ‘He was there, and he did a good job.’ That’s always the goal. If that happens, it will be great," added Tusshar.
Written by Farhad Samji and directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome to the Jungle was scheduled to be released in December 2024. There were reports about the film being shelved. However, the makers denied the speculation and assured that the film was on track.
The star cast of Welcome 3 also includes Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Shreyas Talpade, Farida Jalal, Aftab Shivdasani, Arshad Warsi, and others.
