Sri Lanka is gearing up to host the West Indies for the upcoming three-match T20I and ODI cricket series. The white-ball bilateral series will see West Indies take on Sri Lanka on the latter’s home ground. The cricket series will begin on October 13 and end on October 26. Read on to know the schedule for the white-ball series including the key players for the upcoming SL vs WI cricket matches.
The first match of the T20I series between Sri Lanka and West Indies will kickstart on October 13. The second and third matches of the series will be held on October 15 and 17. All the matches of the T20I series will take place at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.

On the other hand, the ODI series will commence on October 20, followed by the second and third matches on October 23 and October 26. Fans will be able to watch the T20I and ODI series online on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium.
The players of the T20I squad for the West Indies cricket squad consist of captain Rovman Powell and vice-captain Roston Chase, along with Fabian Allen, Alick Athanaze, Andre Fletcher, Terrance Hinds, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Gudakesh Motie, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd and Shamar Springer.
West Indies ODI team is led by Captain Shai Hope and Vice-Captain Alzarri Joseph, alongside Jewel Andrew, Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Gudakesh Motie, Sherfane Rutherford, Jayden Seales, Romario Shepherd and Hayden Walsh Jr.
Some senior players, including Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Andre Russell and Akeal Hosein, will be missing out on the upcoming series due to various reasons. Hence, fans will witness some new faces and their potential in the three-match T20I and ODI series.
On the other hand, the Sri Lankan team for the T20I series will be led by Charith Asalanka (c). The rest of the squad - Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kusal Perera, Kamindu Mendis, Dinesh Chandimal, Avishka Fernando, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Dunith Wellalage, Jeffrey Vandersay, Chamindu.
Sanath Jayasuriya will be the permanent coach of Sri Lanka’s cricket squad.
