Diwali is a very dear time and days of celebration for people across the country. One way Indian’s celebrate the festival is with a dose of good cinema. As theatres in the country are slowly returning to their best, a lot of us will be taking to the OTT space this Diwali. With a long list of content released across different platforms, there are more than enough to choose from. So here are some movies and shows that are releasing this week on OTT, to watch this Diwali.

Jai Bhim

The Tamil movie with Suriya in the lead has turned a lot of heads since its announcement. The legal drama that is based on real incidents will see the star play an advocate who sets out to help Senggeni, after her husband was convicted by the police.

Akkad Bakkad Rafu Chakkar

Akkad Bakkad Rafu Chakkar is a 10-episode web series that follows two friends who decide to open a fake bank and to scam people and to get away with their money. Starring Vicky Arora and Anuj Rampal, the drama is directed by the Late Raj Kaushal.

The Harder They Fall

This American Western directed by Jeymes Samuel has Jonathan Majors and Idris Elba in the lead, playing diehard enemies. The movie follows Nat Love (Majors), as he brings his old team back as he seeks revenge against the man who murdered his parents.

MGR Magan

This rural entertainer starring Sathyaraj, Samuthrakani and Sasi Kumar, is written and directed by Ponram. The movie follows the life of a normal villager as it turns into a living hell.

Narcos Mexico S3

As a new generation of kingpins arrive in the dangerous Mexican cartels, journalists seek the truth in these lands. Government agents also walk a thin line between justice and corruption.

Meenakshi Sundareshwar

Starring Abhimanyu Dassani and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles, this rom-com drama is directed by Vivek Soni. The movie will follow a newly wed couple as they are soon forced into a long distance relationship which will test them and their marriage.

Love Hard

The romantic comedy directed by Hernán Jiménez stars Nina Dobrev, Jimmy O. Yang and Darren Barnet. The movie follows a young woman who has fallen in love online. As she travels to the East Coast to meet him, she is in for a surprise.

Yara

Directed by Marco Tullio Giordana, this movie is based on real events. It follows prosecutor Letizia Ruggeri who seeks to find the truth behind the murder of 13-year-old Yara Gambirasio.

Finch

The movie, directed by Miguel Sappchnik, has Tom Hanks play a terminally ill robotics engineer, who is also the last survivor on the planet after an apocalyptic event. He embarks on a journey through the outside world with his dog and a robot he built to take care of the dog once he is dead.

Arcane League of Legends

From the creators of League of Legends comes this animated series, which will tell the story of why fan favourite Champions Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell), and what led to them becoming estranged.
