SonyLIV has become now one of the most popular OTT platforms with many movies, web series, sports, and other content in various Indian languages.In the month of October 2021, the platform is coming up with several movies and web shows including Aamis, We The People, Family Drama, Itlu Amma, Britannia, to name a few.


Set in Guhawati, Aamis traces the story of Nirmali (Lima Das), a married doctor, who meets Sumon (Arghadeep Barua), a young PHD student researching on food eating habits in Northeast India. Slowly a friendship develops and Sumon initiates Nirmali into learning about it too. Revolving around the theme of forbidden love and the limits of one’s hunger, the darkest desires of Nirmali and Sumon’s relationship come into the forefront. Directed by Bhaskar Hazarika, the film won awards at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, and the South Asian International Film Festival in Singapore.

All the lines get BLURRED when it comes to your BLOOD! A never seen before family thriller - Tabbar. The series features Pavan Malhotra, Supriya Pathak, Gagan Arora, Sahil Mehta, Paramvir Cheema, Nupur Nagpal, Ranvir Shorey and Kanwaljit Singh in prominent roles. Directed by Ajitpal Singh and written by Harman Wadala and Sandeep Jain, the show is produced by Ajay Rai, JAR Pictures.

Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam

The movie revolves around JP, who wants to become a director and is affected by story stealing. Later, he is in a situation to explain 2 stories to a producer. Will he get a chance to narrate his story? Produced by Sudhan Sundaram and G. Jayaram, the film features Rohini, RS Karthick and Junior Balaiya in lead roles.

We The People

Four distinct short stories thematically representing India’s tryst with destiny, how far (or near) it has come since it won its hard-fought independence from Great Britain, with each colour in the Indian national flag- Saffron, Green, White, Navy Blue represented by each story. Directed by Prashant Nair, it is produced by Drishyam Films.

Crossing Swords

It's an animated series that follows "Patrick, a goodhearted peasant who lands a coveted squire position at the royal castle. His dream job quickly turns into a nightmare when he learns his beloved kingdom is run by a hornet's nest of horny monarchs, crooks and charlatans. Even worse, Patrick's valor made him the black sheep in his family, and now his criminal siblings have returned to make his life hell. War, murder, full-frontal nudity—who knew brightly colored peg people led such exciting lives?


Britannia is a drama set in 43AD as the Roman Imperial Army - determined and terrified in equal measure - returns to crush the Celtic heart of Britannia - a mysterious land ruled by warrior women and powerful druids who can channel the powerful forces of the underworld. Featuring Kelly Reilly, David Morrissey and Zoë Wanamaker in lead roles, the show will be streaming soon on the platform.

Family Drama

Sadashiva Rao, a shrewd father lives with his two sons who are jobless. He kicks his elder son Rama out of his house for not earning a job and warns younger son Lakshman to find a job soon or he will kick him out too along with his newly married wife. What happens next is something you need to watch out for in the film. Directed by Meher Tej, the film features Suhas, Anusha Nuthula, Pooja Kiran, Teja Kasarapu in lead roles.


The film is a slice of life drama about the relationship between two opposites, a 41year old who believes the world is as innocent as he himself, and a 14-year-old who believes the world is as cunning as the one that fleeced him. Directed by national award-winning director, Sandeep Modi and presented by Akshay Kumar, the film features Sahil Jadhav, Swanand Kirkire and Sangram Desai in lead roles.

Itlu Amma

Itlu Amma, revolves around a traditional widow, who transforms from socio-psychological isolation of a boy’s mother to a person with the spirit of universal motherhood social commitment and activism. Features Revathi, Posani Krishna Murali and Ravi Kale in prominent roles.
