Wheel of Time: New teaser poster of upcoming series starring Rosemund Pike is out

Amazon has released a teaser poster for the debut season of Wheel of Time starring Rosemund Pike. The series is an adaptation of a set of fantasy novels of the same name.

Wheel of Time is set in a fantasy world of magic where only a few women have access to it. The story follows Moiraine (Pike), a member of the powerful magical organisation called Aes Sedai, and her journey with a group of people among whom one of them is the prophesied “Dragon Reborn”, who will either save or destroy humanity. 

The cast for the Amazon Prime series involves Sophie Okonedo as Siuan Sanche, Kae Alexander as Min Farshaw, Kate Fleetwood as Liandrin Guirale, Peter Franzen as Stephin, Daniel Henney as al’Lan Mandragoran, Maria Doyle Kennedy as Illa and Priyanka Bose as Alanna Mosvani among others.

As per the poster released by Amazon Prime, the first season of Wheel of Time is set to drop this September. 

The adaptation of Wheel of Time is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television and will see Rafe Judkins as the executive producer/showrunner for the show. Larry Mondragon and Rick Selvage of Red Eagle Entertainment, Ted Field and Mike Weber of Radar Pictures, Marigo Kehoe, Uta Briesewitz and Darren Lamke will all serve as executive producers. 

The streaming platform released the teaser poster first at Comic-Con. The event will be held virtually for a second year in a row as a physical event looks impossible to be conducted.
