After spending a few years in jail, Miles returns to retrieve the diamond, only to discover that the construction site has become a new police precinct.

Desperate to get his hands on the diamond, Miles forges documents and joins the precinct as a detective. However, before he is able to locate the diamond he is involuntarily thrust into several ongoing cases and quickly earns a reputation as an unconventional cop who gets the job done.
