The superstar, who had spoken about each of his cast members, left them flushed, as some netizens particularly pointed out that Rajinikanth needs to address people with respect.

Rajinikanth’s speech at Coolie audio launch gets backlash

Rajinikanth, who spoke at the audio launch of Coolie, had addressed each of his team members as he spoke about various aspects of them. From calling Shruti Haasan a ‘glamour girl’ to pointing out Soubin Shahir’s baldness, Rajinikanth left his team members with flushed faces.

In his speech, Rajinikanth did not fail to praise them, but also spoke about them in that the netizens did not take well. Speaking about them, he said, "When I heard Sathyaraj was cast in the film, I was surprised. During Sivaji, we were ready to offer him as much as I was getting paid, but he did not take up. So, him doing a role in Coolie is a big thing, I said. Sathyaraj and I may have differences in ideology, but we are friends in real." The superstar then went on to talk about how he was shocked to learn that Shruti Haasan is also part of Coolie. "I saw her during 3 movie and she was a glamour girl,” he said as Shruti let out an embarrassed smile.

Speaking about Nagarjuna, Rajinikanth mentioned, "He cannot be bought with money, because he is not only rich in the Telugu film industry, but rich among the richest in Andhra and Telangana,” to which Nagarjuna too was left with a flushed face. When Rajinikanth revealed how shocked he was to learn about Aamir Khan's appearance in Coolie, he also added, "It takes him 2 years to okay a script and imagine how many days and years it will take him to make a film. There is Salman Khan on one side and Shah Rukh Khan on the other side, and there he is standing short in between them."
