When Devlina Kumar gets a marriage proposal in Egypt

Devlina Kumar is a recognised actress and dancer. She is also the daughter-in-law of Mahanayak Uttam Kumar’s family. She married Uttam Kumar’s grandson Gourab Chatterjee. However, she could have been the daughter-in-law of an aristocratic Egyptian family. Yes, such a proposal came to her before her marriage. 

This is true. Devlina Kumar told the story on the set of Zee Bangla’s reality show, Didi Number 1. She said she had to go to Egypt for a shooting. Many people have an interest in this country's rich history. Devlina got the proposal there. The Egyptian family wanted to give 100 camels as dowry. However, Delvina did not agree to that and did not want to lose Gourab.

Devlina, who is the daughter of the TMC leader Debasish Kumar, tied the knot with Gourab in December 2020. They had a Vedic marriage. They are now happily running the family. Their relationship started in the Lokkhi Puja program at Gourab's sister's place, which was in 2017. They fell in love with each other. That year, they danced with each other to the Bollywood song Bole Chudiya on the occasion of Gourab's younger sister's wedding. That deepened the romance. According to Devlina, her husband is a shy and modest person.
