Elon Musk is currently making headlines after his acquisition of Twitter. On several occasions, the popular business magnate has made waves for his quirky, and at times controversial, opinions, most of which he displays through his Twitter account. Back in 2018, Musk took Twitter by surprise, and storm, when he tweeted words of appreciation for Bajirao Mastani.
Starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Bajirao Mastani had hit the silver screens in 2015. So it came as quite a surprise indeed when Musk decided to show his appreciation for the film one fine day in 2018, just days after the film completed three years of its release. The business magnate shared a gif from the film featuring Singh, from the song Malhari. Tweeting the gif, Musk wrote the film’s name surrounded by two yellow hearts. He also included the link to the music video of another track from the film, titled Deewani Mastani.

The unexpected nature of Musk’s tweet had sent netizens into a tizzy at the time, and many expressed their surprise as well.
Bajirao Mastani, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and written by Prakash R. Kapadia, also featured Priyanka Chopra with Tanvi Azmi, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Milind Soman, Mahesh Manjrekar and Aditya Pancholi in pivotal roles as well. The film is available for streaming on JioCinema, Voot and Eros Now.
Meanwhile, Musk’s acquisition of Twitter has elicited some strong responses from the public. Kangana Ranaut also reacted to the same, slamming Musk’s critics and hailing the business magnate. Musk’s takeover of Twitter also led many to tweet that Ranaut’s Twitter account be restored soon. The actress had her Twitter account permanently suspended over a year ago after her controversial political tweets. Ranaut recently shared a number of tweets regarding Musk’s appointment, as well as tweets of her followers asking for the restoration of her account soon.
