When Mari Selvaraj fell into a pit while rushing to the FDFS of this Thalapathy Vijay's film

Mari Selvaraj is a self-confessed fan of Thalapathy Vijay. The ace director had time and again revealed his admiration for the Leo actor. Recently during the promotions of Maamannan, Mari Selvaraj had once again revealed how he had danced to every song of Vijay and that he and his cousin were part of a Vijay fan club called Adanga Thamizhan Vijay Rasigar Mandram.

Calling Vijay an emotion, Mari Selvaraj recalled the time when he had fallen into a pit while rushing for the FDFS of Maduray. "I have watched all his movies FDFS. When I watch his films, I turn into a fanboy. Vijay sir is an emotion. It's only recently that the first day shows have come down due to work commitments."

His last FDFS was Vijay's Madurey (2004), which was helmed by Ramana Madhesh. "I was heading back to Tirunelveli after writing the law college entrance exams in Chennai. My friends had booked the tickets for the film and were waiting for me. I remember it was around 10 o'clock and I was going straight to Ram theatre, which is the biggest movie hall in Tirunelveli."

 He added, "Outside the theatre, the authorities had dug up a pit to lay cables. There is no bus stop there, so I jumped straight in front of the theatre and fell into the pit.  I climbed out of the pit and then went into the theatre all dirty and watched the film. My friends later made me wash up. That was one hell of an experience."

When asked if he had narrated any story to his matinee idol, Mari Selvaraj said,  I have narrated a story to Vijay sir. After narrating the story, Vijay sir's reaction was 'Enna Sir'. This is because I had narrated the story to him as a director, not as a fan-Boy."
