Actor Simbu who was seen in films like Maanaadu , Vaanam , and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, is now gearing up for the release of his next film Thug Life headlined by actor Kamal Haasan. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on June 5.
Ahead of this, Simbu in one of the interviews, recently recounted the time when he met Indian cricketer Virat Kohli who had failed to recognize him.
Only recently, we had reported how the ace Indian cricketer Virat Kohli’s biopic might be played by none other than Tamil actor Simbu. While an official announcement on the same is yet to be announced or made official, Virat Kohli, who is currently playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Indian Premier League, revealed that he loves listening to the Tamil song ‘Nee Singam Dhaan’ from Silambarasan's film Pathu Thala.
In a recent interview to promote Thug Life, the actor recollection the time when he met Virat Kohli and the latter failed to recognise him. "I had gone up to him and said hello, and he asked me 'who are you' and when I said I am Simbu, he said 'I don't know you' and he walked off. I was wondering to myself why did I put myself through this (laughs) and said to myself that one day he will come to know of me. Recently, I saw the RCB reel and I was happy that he mentioned by song. Even now I don't know if he knows me. He had only mentioned the song. But it is an unforgettable incident,” the Osthe actor recalled.
Thug Life is a gangster action drama which is set to release on June 5. The film is written and directed by Mani Ratnam and stars Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi and others.
