For fans of the Rocking Star, the fact that no other star/film has been able to break the massive Rs 54-crore opening that KGF-2 took in the Hindi belt, was reason enough to start the trend

In the time since KGF: Chapter 2 came out, there have been multiple trending hashtags associated with the film and its leading man, Rocking Star Yash. And then came #Yash19, the hashtag for the actor’s much-awaited next film, details of which are still under wraps. Fans have been waiting for an update for months, but barring reports that KVN Productions will back it, there’s nothing else in the public realm. It’s not even confirmed if Narthan, who has, for long, been billed as the director for Yash19, will actually get the job. There is a rumour, though, that all will be revealed on Friday, September 2.
While fans have their eyes peeled wide open for that news break, they also decided to make another interesting hashtag trend on the internet. Yash, who has been hailed as the Sultan of the box office, given KGF2’s massive Rs 1250+ crore world-wide collection, holds a few other records also. The film had recorded Rs 54 crore on day 1 in its Hindi version, and wound up with a total of Rs 435 crore from that belt, both figures remaining unbeaten since by big-ticket Bollywood or other language pan-India releases. Yash has set the bar really high, reckon fans, who began the #Yash54 trend to celebrate this record status that he holds. “The biggest opening day collection in India ever - @TheNameIsYash 's #KGF2 (Hindi) - 54Cr!! Powerful people make places powerful! #Yash54,” wrote a fan. “CEO of Indian Box Office! 🔥@TheNameIsYash setting a benchmark for everyone #Yash54,” wrote another.
Yash, who rose to pan-India star status with KGF: Chapter 1, way back in 2018, well and truly cemented that position with the sequel. Interestingly enough, the Hindi belt contributed the lion’s share of the film’s revenue, followed by Telugu and Kannada, which goes to show the actor’s massive popularity in these regions.
