The Battle of Rezang La

The historic battle of India-China in 1962 was commanded by Major Shaitan Singh as he fearlessly led 120 soldiers to fight a massive force of the Chinese Army in freezing cold. Despite being outnumbered (120 Indian soldiers fighting around 3000 Chinese soldiers), Major Shaitan Singh refused to retreat or surrender and instead sacrificed his life to protect the nation while inspiring his soldiers. The battle ended with many martyred soldiers, but the bravery and leadership of its commanding officer remain legendary to date.
