The social media has been abuzz with rumours of the wedding of Keerthy Suresh with a Dubai-based businessman. Now, Keerthy herself clarified on the rumours during the audio launch of her upcoming film Maamannan. When asked about the same, Keerthy said, "I am not leaving my acting career. Why are you hell bent on marrying me off? When it happens, I will definitely let everyone know."

Keerthy's father, producer G Suresh Kumar, had recently clarified in a video that the man in the picture, which is doing the rounds on the internet, is Keerthy's childhood friend Farhan and that there's nothing more to it. "He is a friend and the news is clearly sensationalised."

Speaking about Maamannan, Keerthy said that she plays a communist in the film. "It's been a long time since I have had a film release in Tamil. I play a communist in Maamannan and the film will be quite a different one. Everyone will be able to connect with it, especially women, because we have spoken about a common issue."

The actress said that the film is quite an intense one, she had a lot of fun on the sets. "The mood of the film was light, contrary to the film. We laughed around and the director, Mari Selvaraj sir had a tough time because he had to go for many retakes as we would burst out laughing. Maamannan was a fun journey."

Keerthy also stated that she thoroughly enjoyed listening to the poignant number Raasa Kannu, sung by Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu. "The song is my favourite, too." It is to be noted that Kamal Haasan, who was the chief guest at the event, was in tears after listening to Vadivelu's rendition at the event.

Maamannan stars Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh. The film, which has music by AR Rahman, is bankrolled by Red Giant Movies.
