The 2-minute-46-second video unravels Elphaba is now feared as the Wicked Witch of the West, who fights from the shadows to expose the Wizard's lies and liberate Oz's silenced Animals. Meanwhile, Glinda enjoys fame and power in Emerald City, presented as the face of goodness by Madame Morrible. As Glinda's wedding to Prince Fiyero approaches, she's haunted by her past bond with Elphaba. With Oz on the brink of chaos, the two must reunite and confront their destiny. Their friendship may be the only hope to save Oz for good.

The trailer reveals that Elphaba is hiding from the powerful Wizard because she does not agree with his rules. The video also hints that Dorothy, a well-known character from The Wizard of Oz, will soon appear in the sequel. In the original musical story, Dorothy defeated Elphaba by throwing a bucket of water on her. However, the actor who will play Dorothy has not yet been announced to the public.

The Wicked film series is adapted from the popular Broadway show which tells the story of Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch. The sequel is based on the second half of the musical show.
