Will Abir Chatterjee and Ritabhari Chakraborty pair up for Shoboprosad Nandita’s next?

Durga Puja is the time for big film releases in the Bengali film industry. Which films will be released this Puja? Srijit Mukherji’s Tekka which features Dev in the lead may release this Puja. The director duo Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy finished shooting Amar Boss. But that might get released before Puja. According to reports, they started planning their new film that can be released this Durga Puja.

Their film Raktobeej was released last year. The film was acclaimed and did well at the box office. Hence it was assumed that they would target the next Puja also for the release of their film. The speculation might come true this time.

Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty acted in Raktabeej. One report says that a sequel can be made this year. But according to another report, the directors want a standalone thriller. According to a report, Abir Chatterjee got the offer to work in the film as the protagonist. Ritabhari Chakraborty can be cast opposite him. Last year, they paired up in Windows Production’s film Fatafati. The film delivered a message against body shaming. Will the pair be cast again in a new avatar?

In the last few years, Shiboprosad and Nandita released films during the summer vacation. It was only in 2023 that they broke the tradition and released a film during Durga Puja. It remains to see whether this will be repeated in 2024.
