Will Ferrell has joined the cast of the upcoming Barbie live-action adaptation, which has Margot Robbie in the titular role and Ryan Gosling as Ken, her love interest.
Deadline reports that Ferrell, mostly known for his comedic characters, will be seen in an undisclosed role.
Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach have written the screenplay while Gerwig is set to direct. However, no details of the movie's plot details have been revealed.

The Barbie movie has been in development for quite some time but it's only been off late that the cast has been revealed. Production on the movie is also set to kickstart soon now that Warner Bros has rounded up the principal cast.
Ferrell was last seen in the Apple TV+ dark comedy series The Shrink Next Door with Paul Rudd and his feature film outing was Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. He is also part of the musical comedy Spirited led by Ryan Reynolds. Ferrell is also among the lead voice actors in the live-action version of Strays along with Jamie Foxx and Will Forte.

Robbie is producing via her banner LuckyChap along with Tom Ackerley. Mattel's Robbie Brenner and David Heyman (Harry Potter series, Paddington) are also producers.
