As Kunal Kohli mentioned at the recently held OTTplay Awards 2025, she is one of the only six actresses to have won the Best Actor trophy across four decades worldwide. So, when she won the trophy yet again for Best Actor for her performance in Netflix’s Do Patti, we had to ask her the big question. Kajol plays a cop in the Kanika Dhillon thriller, and we asked if this motivates her to join the celebrated Cop Universe that was kickstarted by her husband, Ajay Devgn, with Singham.

Will Kajol Join Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe?

For the unversed, headlined by Rohit Shetty and led by Ajay Devgn, the Cop Universe has been growing quite rapidly. So now, as Deepika Padukone is playing Shakti Shetty, there is enough room for Kajol to enter and join the team of super cops. About winning the award, while talking to us at the winner's lounge at the OTTplay Awards 2025, Kajol added, “It feels amazing. It always feels good when you win something and are appreciated by the people for a performance you thought you did decently enough, but people embrace it like a perfect one. So thank you so much for that and for making me feel good about it.”

In her winning speech on the stage, Kajol spoke about how she had a tough week and that the award was her bright spot. “I would like to thank OTTplay Awards for having wonderfully good taste and a higher-than-normal eye to pick me for this particular award. It's been a very, very strange week, so I will say that standing on this stage today brings back to me that I have a lot to be grateful for. I am loved, and I cannot thank everyone enough for it. I know that to be loved like this is rare. So thank you so much for that, for bringing it home to me, and for making a difference this week.”
