Pradeep Ranganathan surely seems to be on a high after his recent release Love Today hit screens. The romantic comedy drama, written and directed by Pradeep himself, has been setting the cash registers ringing at the box office. The film also marks Pradeep's acting debut. The latest we hear is that Pradeep met Superstar Rajinikanth and that the veteran actor was in praise for the youngster.

Pradeep shared a picture with Rajinikanth and said that he will never forget what he said. He wrote on his social media handle, "What more can I ask for ? It was like to be near a sun . So warm . The tight hug , those eyes , the laugh , the style and the love . What a personality . SUPERSTAR @rajinikanth saw #LoveToday and wished me Will never forget the words you said sir @archanakalpathi (sic)."

The star cast for the film includes Ivana, Raveena Ravi, Sathyaraj, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu and Shivin Ganesan to name a few. Music for the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. While the cinematography is by Dinesh Purushothaman, editing is by Pradeep E Ragav. The film has been bankrolled by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh. Archana Kalpathi is the creative producer. The film's title has been borrowed from Thalapathy Vijay's 1997 film of the same name. Netflix has bagged the digital rights of the film and the film is likely to drop on the OTT space after a month of its theatrical release.

Pradeep had earlier directed Jayam Ravi's Comali (2019), a comedy drama, which marked Pradeep's directorial debut. The plot revolves around a coma patient who wakes up after a span of 16 years and then struggles to fit into the new world. The film, which also starred Kajal Aggarwal, opened to positive reviews and was declared a hit at the box office.
