Will Parambrata Chatterjee recreate Raj B. Shetty and Rishab Shetty’s Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana in Bangla?

Tollywood’s A-lister directors and producers are targeting Durga Puja to release their films. Three Puja films have been announced so far. Srijit Mukherji is coming with Tekka which stars Dev and Rukmini Moitra. The film Shastri starring Mithun Chakraborty is there. However, shooting of the film was temporarily stopped due to Mithun's illness. There is another film coming at that time, Joto Kando Kolkatay, directed by Anik Dutta. Abir will play the protagonist in the film. Now, speculations about a fourth film have come forth.

People are interested every year to see which films SVF brings during Puja. Last year, their film Dawshom Awbotaar was successful at the box office. However, the film Tekka has been announced, directed by Srijit and starring Dev. Hence it was assumed that SVF might not bring any film during Puja this year. According to a report on Anandabazar Online, Parambrata Chatterjee is assigned the Puja film by SVF.

A report says that the film is a remake of the 2021 Kannada blockbuster Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana. Rishav Shetty and Raj B Shetty of Kantara fame worked in that gangster movie. It tells the story of how two childhood friends turn against each other after coming to the crime world. Reports say that Jisshu Sengupta and Anirban Bhattacharya are offered to act in the film. Jisshu and Anirban were in Dawshom Awbotaar also.

Jisshu will be busy with Khadaan and CCL for the coming few months. Anirban is also busy with theatre. But Parambrata started preparations for the film. It remains to be seen when the shooting starts.
