Will Prabhas and Pooja Hegde's Radhe Shyam release on Amazon Prime Video?

Radhe Shyam, a romantic drama with Prabhas and Pooja Hegde in the lead, is reportedly going to have a digital release. The makers, Prime UV Creations are in talks with Amazon Prime to come up with a fitting deal.

Entertainment website Bollywood Life writes that the reason for the makers to choose this route is the average box office run the film is having since its release on March 11. The Hindi versions of the film have already seen fewer shows, after The Kashmir Files made its way to ci nemas, according to Koimoi.

Bollywood Life continues that the makers will profit from the streaming deal with Amazon, and will reportedly have Radhe Shyam released after April 11. However, Amazon is in talks to make the release date April 2, coinciding with the festival of Ugadi. 

Radhe Shyam has crossed the Rs 150 crore mark at the box office worldwide, by making Rs 165.18 crore after four days. Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film has made Rs 85.38 crore.

The film, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, also stars Bhagyashree, Krishnam Raju, Sathyaraj, Jagapathi Babu, Murali Sharma, Jayaram, and Sachin Khedekar.

RRR is also slated to have a digital release, but after 70-90 days after its theatrical run. The period epic, which has Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt, will be out in cinemas on March 25.
