Brahmastra, the film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, has become a success. The couple's on-screen pairing as Shiva and Isha has been well received by the audience. Filmmakers approach the actors for additional projects when a movie or pairing succeeds. There have been recent rumours that Alia and Ranbir may be collaborating on a romantic comedy after the success of their film Brahmastra. In an interview with India Today, both discussed this news.

In response to rumours that a romantic comedy was in the works, Ranbir humorously remarked that Alia and he are currently engaged in a real-life comedy. He's not sure if they need to make a movie together. Alia responded by stating that she had heard from the fanbase that they had been approached for this genre. The actor said that she had heard that there was a rumour that they were working on a romantic comedy together. But the sequel to Brahmastra will be their next movie together. She is not sure if Ayan will let her and Ranbir do anything else besides the Brahmastra movies because he is extremely protective of them as a couple. However, as Ranbir pointed out, their life is like a rom-com.

Never say never, Alia said in response to the question of whether it was possible to make a movie outside the Brahmastra universe. They will see if anything intriguing comes up.

A simpleton with a unique relationship with fire is the focus of the superhero drama Brahmastra. In the fantasy drama, Ranbir and Alia collaborated for the first time. Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna are all part of the cast. The movie is helmed by Ayan Mukerji, and on September 9, Brahmastra had its theatrical debut.

The filmmaker hinted that the second instalment is likely to hit the big screens in December 2025.
