Will Rocking Star Yash rain on Kiccha Sudeep’s parade on September 2?

September 2 is Abhinaya Chakravarthy Kiccha Sudeep’s birthday, a day on which his fans will expect multiple announcements about his upcoming projects. Although Sudeep has spoken about collaborating with Vikrant Rona maker Anup Bhandari again for Billa Ranga Baasha and Ashwatthama, they have not set a time frame for either project. There is also a possibility of a Vikrant Rona sequel. Amid all this, there have been rumours of Sudeep doing a horror thriller called Rakshasudu 2, while he had said he was looking forward to collaborating with Maanadu maker Venkat Prabhu. There’s just got to be something about Sudeep on September 2.

According to the buzz in industry circles though, yet another big announcement is likely on that day. It is being rumoured that Rocking Star Yash’s much-awaited #Yash19, will be formally announced on September 2. It is not known if the film, to be produced by KVN Productions, will be the one with Mufti maker Narthan or something else altogether. The timing of the announcement, if true, is being seen as suspect, given that fans of both the actors have been indulging in online wars for quite some time.

During the release of KGF2, there was an attempt to drag Sudeep in the mud over his lack of support/congratulatory messages for Yash and team. His fans had retorted that Sudeep, who is quite active on Twitter and often wishes film teams, did so during the release of KGF: Chapter 1 and got no response. Moreover, his attempt to get Yash to be a part of an online fitness challenge also did not get positive feedback, which is why, fans reckoned Sudeep remained mum during KGF2.

In the days thereafter though, Sudeep was on overdrive, attending every other film attend and putting the spotlight on how it’s an issue when he doesn’t say anything. Even the Vikrant Rona trailer launch became more of a show of strength for Sudeep, with him lining up the who’s who of Kannada cinema as his friends and supporters.
